20 Large and Unique Vanity Mirrors

Good Monday to you all, hope everyone had an awesome, fun, and relaxing Valentine’s Day yesterday!   We got a ton of stuff done around the house, although I spent a fair share of Saturday under our master bathroom sink fixing a clog so I wouldn’t say it was fun pretty stuff :/  But some good meals, sweet treats, and a little cruise at the beach always makes a good weekend!

Speaking of the master bathroom, you may remember that I updated it a year and a half ago or so.  I refinished the vanity, painted, updated the sink, faucet, and countertop, and replaced the builder basic mirror with a big framed one I found at Kirkland’s.  I was using a mix of chrome and oil-rubbed bronze finishes in there and while the mirror is technically a dark bronze finish, it just looked like the same dark wood color as the vanity and that has slowly been wearing on me.  It needs more contrast, personality, and something that’s not as chunky looking.  So, I set out to upgrade.  And searched, and searched, and searched.

We only have a single sink in here (even though it’s the master) and the vanity is just 48″ wide, so one large mirror is the best choice for us.  That’s not the easiest to find when there’s TONS of super cute single-width mirrors out there (~24″ wide) so I figured I’d take you guys shopping with me in case anyone else is in search of bigger (I was looking for over ~30″ wide) mirrors for a similar space.  Here’s some of my favorite contenders!

To compliment the chrome finish on the faucet, here are my choices for something bling-y and lighter to brighten up the space.

{Sleek}

I’m absolutely loving mirrors with thin metal frames like these.  They’re more modern, but in a vintage industrial sort of way that I always love.  And how freaking COOL would that three-fold one be?!?

{Texture}

Y’all know I love me some texture, and the finishes currently in the space are pretty sleek (white countertop, chrome faucet, dark cabinetry), so I thought these may add some much-needed visual interest to our space and be a stunning focal point.

{White & Wood}

As sort of a middle ground, these guys have lighter-weight frames but also have unique shapes and textures that could be a perfect middle-ground.  The white ones would compliment the white quartz countertop too.

After MUCH deliberation I finally made a decision on one and pulled the trigger!  It’s one I’ve eyed many times before but for some reason never pictured in our space until now.  It’ll be here next week and I can’t wait to get it installed and share the updated space with y’all!  While I’m in LOVE with the one we picked (even the husband was on board with this), I want 20 more bathrooms in our home so I can style them around all these awesome mirrors I came across :)

What’s your favorite??

  1. Never thought I’d fall into the “Sleek” category, but really loving #2 & #5! Maybe I’m going for simplicity here, for more intricate detail elsewhere? Who knows!

    Great post! I like to see how / where everyone pulls in inspiration and finds awesome things :)

    1. Ha! I agree Jessica, that’s my favorite bunch to…hint: one of those is what I picked!! It can be so daunting to start a search for a particular item, so hopefully this will help!
